The First round of the Strikeforce World HW Grand Prix 2011 quarterfinals are in the books and with that comes some changes in the HW rankings. There are some big fights to come with the next batch of Quarterfinals which is slated to happen on April. For now these are my updated HW rankings.
1. Cain Velasquez------------Out for the foreseeable future with a torn rotator cuff
2. Junior dos Santos----------KO'd Werdum
3. Fabricio Werdum----------Has wins over half of the people in the GP
4. Alistair Overeem-----------Strikeforce Champ, DREAM Champ, and O Yeah won the 2010 K-1 GP
5. Brock Lesnar--------------Doesn't take a good punch but can still win on size and take downs alone
6. Shane Carwin--------------We need to see him back in the cage SOON!!
7. Antonio Silva-----------------Dominated Fedor. He is a real dude and he can win the GP
8. Frank Mir------------------Wins one Losses one we will see what he can do with Roy Nelson
9. Fedor Emelianenko--------Took a hardcore beating from Silva, He may retire now
10. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira--Hasn't fought in a year will fall off the list if he doesn't fight soon
-Honorable mention-
Josh Barnett----------If he is still at the top of the game we will find out with the GP he has the easer of the brackets
Sergei Kharitonov-----Huge KO win over Andrei Arlovski, He can win the whole thing, 1 more win and he is Top 10
Roy Nelson--------------A win over Mir would put him back into title contention
Brendan Schaub------on the fast track to the top he needs some big wins though
Pedro Rizzo------------ Is looking good and training hard. If he takes out Tim Sylvia I could see him back in the UFC
Fedor is done.. he should have went to the ufc when he had a chance
