Cleveland fighter Chris "The Assassin" Lozano could face former Bellator champion Lyman Good in the opening round of the upcoming Bellator season four welterweight tournament, according to sources close to the situation.
This fight would make the first-round pairings in the tournament all but set, as matchups featuring Strikeforceand UFC veteran Jay Hieron versus Steve Carl and former Olympian Rick Hawn versus Brit Jim Wallhead have already been rumored. The final matchup would then feature Bellator season two runner-up Dan Hornbuckle taking on Kentucky fighter Brent Weedman.
The tournament is expected to begin in early March (airing live on MTV2). The winner will receive a shot at Ben Askren for the Bellator welterweight championship.
Lyman Good (10-1) vs. Chris Lozano (6-0)
Rick Hawn (9-0) vs. Jim Wallhead (20-5)
Jay Hieron (19-4) vs. Steve Carl (14-2)
Dan Hornbuckle (22-3) vs. Brent Weedman (17-5-1)
I see Jay winning the whole thing.
